Group visits are available at a reduced rate for high school and college students, adults and seniors. To receive discounted group admission, a group must consist of 10 or more visitors. Groups may arrive at the museum together and then disperse throughout the galleries. Groups should complete the group scheduling request form and read the visitors policies
School and educator programs use exhibits in the museum to create a forum for ideas, debate, and exchange. In an hour-long historic and cultural tour that enhances classroom learning

Private groups may request a tour of the museum’s permanent collection or a special exhibition. All private tours are conducted by docents of African American culture , and last one hour. Tours must be scheduled two weeks in advance.

Corporate Members of the NBDMHC may schedule guided group tours both during regular Museum operating hours and after-hours. All reservations are required and must be made (2-3) weeks in advance. The Museum reserves the right not to allow large groups into the Museum without prior reservations.
