NBDMHC  calendar provides  information  on doll conventions and events across the country and in our region.  An active member of the community we  also host  robust programming  including a  series of discussions, readings, screenings, and workshops that highlight our exciting exhibitions and collections for a diverse community of learners. Parenting Journey 1 @ National Black Doll Museum

This 12-session, introductory curriculum is designed to help parents increase their self-care practices, raise awareness of past and present factors that influence their parenting styles, enhance their parenting skills, and utilize their strengths to support their children and build nurturing family relationships. This program focuses on adult development and the emotional understanding of their role as a parent, thus filling a void created by traditional parenting classes which often focus on child development and disciplinary techniques.

African Wrap Dolls on  the 2nd Saturday, of the month  from  2-4 p.m. Participants will hear the *Legend of Cecilia* & create his or her own African wrap doll.
