The magic of Christmas comes alive at the annual exhibit of the Ebony Village. This winter wonderland features the largest public display of African American  holiday memorabilia , a secret Santa shop and  photo  opportunities with Black Santa’

It began in 1998 when young Christopher declared , “I don’t want to be black because Santa won’t come”.  Today, with 500 African American Santa’s, Angels, Nutcrackers, Carolers Elves,decorated trees and ornaments the exhibit is one of the most popular collections attracting museum goers and holiday display lovers of all backgrounds. .

Open during the weekends there will be plenty of family friendly activities including Santa’s workshop where kids can create ornaments and decorate cookies,Santa’s photo station. and mail center to write letters to Santa and letters to incarcerated children,

Hours  by appointment Tuesday-Friday,

Saturdays 12-6PM          12-6  Sundays with pre-purchased tickets only

African Dance Class @ Natonal Black Doll Museum
Dec 14 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Image result for african danceWe are proud to host SIMDACA Dance Academy  under the direction of  Chefiatou Tokou at the National Black Doll Museum. Classes are designed for people of al ages and skill levels.

Weekly on Fridays @ 7PM  workshops will help participants “generate energy and beauty through authentic African dance. in a fun encouraging learning environment.
