Southeast 3rd Annual Juneteenth Festival
The third annual Juneteenth festival,https://attleborojuneteenth.com/ a region-wide celebration, commemorating the end of slavery in the USA is being hosted by the Attleboro Juneteenth committee in conjunction with the National Black Doll Museum. This event attracts all cultural backgrounds and celebrates the richness of African American heritage through art, food, vendor markets, education, community group booths, and live entertainment. All events are free and open to the public.
This year’s festival will focus a special spotlight on “The Crown Act,” a bill protecting the rights of Black citizens to wear their hair the way it naturally grows.
