The Virtual Experience
Welcome to the New Home of NBDMHC at Emerald Square Mall, Attleboro, MA! 🌟
We are thrilled to share the exciting news with our cherished supporters – thanks to your incredible generosity, we have found a new home at the vibrant Emerald Square Mall in Attleboro, MA! This marks the beginning of a new and promising chapter in the journey of the National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture (NBDMHC).
In 2020, like many other community organizations, the NBDMHC faced significant changes and challenges. The closure of our original brick-and-mortar location in Mansfield, MA, prompted us to adapt and temporarily relocate to the vast landscape of the Internet. Despite these challenges, we embraced the opportunity to take all the engaging activities we’ve always offered “on-site” and seamlessly transition them to the virtual realm.
Our commitment to the community and our mission remained unwavering. Throughout our virtual presence, we continued to present live workshops on doll-making and explore the rich tapestry of Black cultural history. Virtual tours allowed enthusiasts to delve into past exhibits, while live events featuring special guests brought our community closer together. Of course, our vast collection of over 7000 Black dolls remained accessible to fans, providing a virtual haven for enthusiasts to explore and enjoy.
As we embark on this exciting new phase at the Emerald Square Mall, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who supported us during these transformative times. Your contributions have not only sustained us but propelled us into this beautiful new space where we can continue to inspire, educate, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage reflected in our Black doll collection.
We invite you to join us in our physical space at the Emerald Square Mall, where the magic of history, culture, and creativity come alive. Explore the exhibits, engage in live events, and be a part of the vibrant NBDMHC community. Your presence is instrumental in making this journey meaningful and impactful.
Thank you for your unwavering support, and we look forward to welcoming you to the new home of the National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture at Emerald Square Mall, Attleboro, MA!
