National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture Announces Free Fridays in July

Coinciding with Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays

Mansfield, MA — June 22,2025

The National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture (NBDMHC) is proud to announce that it will participate in Free Fridays this August, offering free admission to all visitors on select dates. This initiative coincides with Boston’s long-standing Highland Street Foundation Free Fun Fridays, a beloved tradition that provides families across Massachusetts with opportunities to enjoy cultural institutions at no cost.

Thanks to the support of the Local Cultural Councils of Attleboro, North Attleboro, Easton, Foxboro, Norton, and Mansfield, the Museum will open its doors free of charge every Friday in August, welcoming families, educators, and collectors to explore the nation’s largest collection dedicated to the history, artistry, and culture of Black dolls.

Dates: July11- September 26,2025
Hours: 1:00 PM -5:00 PM
Location: Emerald Sq. Mall 999 S. Washington St. N. Attleboro, MA

“We are thrilled to bring Free Fridays to the Museum in alignment with the Highland Street Foundation’s vision,” said Deb Britt, Executive Director of NBDMHC. “For many families, summer is a time for creating lasting memories. Free Fridays give everyone a chance to experience culture, creativity, and history together without cost being a barrier.”

This year’s Free Fridays at NBDMHC also serve as a preview for the Ebony Village: A Black Christmas Wonderland, opening November 21, 2025. The exhibit will feature over 1,000 Black Santas, angels, nutcrackers, and holiday figures, and is in the running to set a Guinness World Record for the largest display of African American holiday décor.
