Farewell to Summer Free Fridays

Farewell to Summer: Last Free Fridays & Holiday Joy at the Ebony Village

As summer comes to a close, the Black Doll Museum is inviting families to make the most of the season with our final Free Fridays of the year. These special days have welcomed visitors from all walks of life to enjoy the museum’s exhibits, connect with culture, and celebrate the creativity and history woven into Black dolls. With only a few weekends left, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this community offering before autumn fully arrives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the local Cultural Councils of Easton, Sharon, Foxboro, Mansfield, Norton, Attleboro, and North Attleboro for their generous support in making our Walk-In Fridays possible. Their commitment has helped open our doors to more families and allowed us to share the museum’s mission with a wider community.

But as we say goodbye to summer, we are also preparing to say hello to the holidays! This year, the Ebony Village will open its doors on November 21st, transforming into a magical wonderland of Black Santas, angels, nutcrackers, carolers, and holiday joy. Families will have the chance to stroll through the largest African American holiday display and capture unforgettable moments with Santa.

To ensure access for all, we are proud to announce that families with EBT or WIC cards will receive reduced ticket prices for holiday entry. This special discount allows more families to experience the wonder of the Ebony Village and take photos with Santa, while supporting the mission of the National Black Doll Museum.

We encourage everyone to join us for the last Free Fridays of summer, and to mark your calendars for the holiday season. Come celebrate the transition from warm summer days to the sparkle of winter festivities—because at the Black Doll Museum, every season tells a story of culture, joy, and community.
